display. Florence & Gordon McRae’s garden has a formal
front garden of roses, shrubs and ‘Little Gem’ magnolias.
This is reached by an avenue of crab apples, iris and ‘Blushing
Pink Iceberg’ roses. Melaleucas, ‘Wedding Day’
roses, Virginia creeper and Clematis montana. Fruit trees, a veggie
garden and a salvia and euphorbia collection are among the garden’s
attractions on half an acre.

Garden: Cynthia Mahony’s garden is located at 3 Eden
St. Dudley Park, Mandurah UBD 535:H1. Open 10am-4.30pm. $6. There
will also be an artwork display. It is described as a cottage garden
with dense plantings of colourful and perfumed plants, including
roses, perennials, gardenias, honeysuckle and buddleias. Cynthia’s
garden uses cannas and plants with good foliage combinations. Spring
bulbs, annuals, salvias and daylilies are grown between veggies
and herbs.

‘Amberley’ is located at 200 Fletcher Rd. Karnup. UBD
496:P12. Open 10am-4.30pm $6. There are ancient tuarts complemented
by deciduous trees. Look for liquidambars, robinia, bauhinia and
spring flowering paulownia and borders of roses, bulbs, annuals
and perennials. A fernery with fountains and ponds are in a sunken
garden. Also veggies and chickens and koi ponds. This property is
also open for special events.

Barrett St, turning into Lennard St near Sittella Winery. This is
a homestead garden in a vineyard setting of 12.5 acres featuring
100 roses underplanted with perennials, espaliered fruit trees,
an olive grove and hedge and vegetable parterre together with quinces,
silver pears and an arbour of Japanese pagoda trees
